The team at Monett Metals Inc. was recently called on to bring another artist’s vision to life. Previously, we shared about Monett’s support of the creation of a memorial for 9/11 first responders. This time, Monett aided in the creation of a permanent art installation for the City of San Francisco, California. Monett poured a series of 20 stainless steel cast sculptures with a mirror polish on one side for a public display called Rolling Reflection by artist Sanaz Mazinani.
The project was commissioned by the City of San Francisco to be included into the Civic Art Collection. As noted on the artist’s website, the multiple sculptures were designed to honour the city’s “unique topography and the quality of light seen across the Pacific Ocean as it changes from morning to night.”
This is a stunning and unique example of the diversifying work Monett has taken part in. If you’re in the San Francisco area, be sure to tour this beautiful art.
