Canerector is pleased to announce the acquisition of RITZ Machine Works, Inc., a leading manufacturer of precision-formed tubular and fabricated metal components with operations in Dauphin, Manitoba, and Cambridge, Minnesota.
Joining the Champ Group of companies, RITZ expands the group’s manufacturing capabilities by adding a highly specialized strength in precision tube bending and forming. Together, the businesses offer a more complete range of fabrication solutions while creating new opportunities for growth.
A Complementary Fit
Champ and RITZ have built successful businesses around complementary manufacturing strengths. Champ is well known for its expertise in flat and sheet metal fabrication, while RITZ has established itself as a leader in precision tube bending and forming, supported by additional fabrication capabilities. Bringing these strengths together creates a broader manufacturing platform capable of supporting more complex projects and delivering a wider range of solutions.

“Tube bending is a specialized, high-value capability, and it’s not an easy service to replicate,” said Kevin Medwick, President of The Champ Group. “Adding that expertise strengthens what we can offer as a group and creates new opportunities to grow by taking on a broader scope of work.”
Investing for the Long Term
For RITZ’s ownership, finding a long-term partner that would preserve the company’s reputation and support its future growth was an important part of the process. That philosophy aligned naturally with Canerector’s approach of investing in strong businesses and helping them grow while maintaining the culture and leadership that made them successful.

“RITZ is an excellent addition to The Champ Group and to the Canerector family of companies,” said Amanda Hawkins, CEO of Canerector. “They have built an outstanding reputation through technical expertise, quality, and strong customer relationships. We look forward to supporting the team as they continue to grow and build on that success for many years to come.”

That future will be led by Adam Teeter, who has stepped into the role of General Manager.
“Adam is a strong leader with deep operational knowledge and the trust of both employees and customers,” said Medwick. “He’s well positioned to lead the business into its next chapter.”
“RITZ has spent years building a reputation for quality and reliability, and that’s not going to change,” said Teeter. “Joining The Champ Group gives us access to additional resources and expertise while allowing us to continue doing what we do best. We’re excited about the opportunities this creates for our team and for the future of the business.”
