We’re thrilled to welcome Jesse Waltman as our new Vice President of Finance. Jesse brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Canerector, with responsibilities spanning accounting and finance, M&A, HR, procurement, and legal within North American manufacturing, distribution, and marketing environments.

Jesse’s passion for developing teams and making finance accessible to non-finance leaders makes him stand out as a collaborative and approachable leader. He has a unique ability to distill complex financial data into insightful, actionable strategies that drive success.

Jesse holds an undergraduate and master’s degree (MAcc) from the University of Waterloo, where he earned a spot on the Accounting Alumni Honour Roll. He also completed an Executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management & Schulich School of Business, adding to his CPA and CA credentials.

Beyond the office, Jesse is a dedicated volunteer, having served as a Governor and Senator at the University of Waterloo. His commitment to education, the arts, and underprivileged communities speaks to his deep sense of social responsibility.

On a personal note, Jesse hails from Windsor and is a lifelong Detroit sports fan, though after living in Toronto for nearly 20 years, he’s learned to cheer for the Maple Leafs, Raptors, and Blue Jays (when they’re not playing Detroit, of course). He’s also the proud dad of eight-year-old boy-girl twins, who keep him busy at hockey, baseball, and dance competitions. In his spare time, you might find Jesse exploring new and eclectic restaurants or indulging in his favorite chicken wings at Duffs.

One of Jesse’s favorite stories from his youth? Getting a surprise “noogie” from none other than Gordie Howe. Now that’s a memorable claim to fame!

Jesse has already hit the ground running, having had the chance to meet many of our accounting, operations finance, and procurement group members as well as some of our operations leaders at our Basecamp in Montreal and at our North York head office. We are excited about how he will help our company build on its incredible momentum and achieve continued growth and success.

Please join us in welcoming Jesse to the Canerector family!
