As we bid farewell to Kevin Stinson, our VP of Finance, we celebrate not just the accomplishments, but the values he’s embodied and instilled in our company.
Kevin joined us at a pivotal time in October 2020, after a global challenge. Finding the right person had proved to be a challenge, but when we met Kevin, we recognized his long career at Nexans had armed him with solid and relatable experience. It was no easy task, but Kevin quickly got up to speed, guiding us through year-end with impressive results that we continue to build on year after year. He’s continued to lead with a calm and steady hand since then.
What truly sets Kevin apart is his fundamental understanding that business is, at its core, about people. He’s been a steadfast partner to our controllers, empowering them to succeed and fostering an environment where they can take on new challenges with confidence. Kevin has built more than just a finance department; he has built relationships, trust, and a team that reflects one of our core beliefs—that people are the most important driver of our success.
Kevin has had a tremendous influence on his own team too. At his retirement party, one team member shared that they’ve never felt so empowered or had more fun in their entire career. This sentiment speaks volumes about Kevin’s leadership style, which combines a deep commitment to professional growth with a genuine joy for the work we do. Under his guidance, the team has thrived, tackling challenges with enthusiasm and a sense of purpose.
While his time with Canerector was relatively short, the processes, structure, and team he’s solidified are his legacy, one that will benefit us for years to come. We’re confident his successor will enjoy a smooth transition into our organization as a direct result of his dedication.
Kevin, thank you for everything. We wish you and your wife, Anne, all the best in your next chapter.
May you enjoy every moment of your new role as grandpa, surrounded by the love and joy of your family. Your influence will be missed, but your legacy will continue to guide us.
